History

The study of history at Kentucky Wesleyan College seeks to help students to understand and appreciate the human experience, think critically and communicate effectively. History is the bedrock of a liberal arts education, and it helps prepare a student to do many things.

What can I do with a history degree?

History is a versatile major, providing graduates an excellent basis for a variety of careers in public and private sectors. Our majors who have gone on to graduate school, law school or seminary tell us they were well-prepared.

The students who graduate with a history degree become teachers, coaches, attorneys, businesspeople and more. They work in fields as diverse as civil service, public relations, insurance, the ministry and homemaking. Several are in law school, graduate school or seminary.
